Overview
Located just 1.5 hours from Ulaanbaatar, Terelj National Park is renowned for its stunning landscapes and nomadic camps. During this tour, admire attractions such as the famous Turtle Rock.
Turtle Rock, known as “Melkhii Khad,” is a fascinating granite formation standing 24 meters high, naturally shaped like a turtle.
Set on the slope of a pine-covered mountain, this rock formation is a must-stop photo point on the way to Terelj village and the national park. It is also a great starting point for an approximately one-hour hike leading to the Aryaval Meditation Center.
During the excursion, enjoy a traditional Mongolian lunch, experience nomadic life by visiting a local family, and take part in a horseback ride through the park.
